New website and Newsletter!

We have now launched the new and improved STERF website www.sterf.org And as you can see, the Newsletter has a new layout too. Now it's possible to surf the site from computers, tablets and smartphones. Take a few moments and surf around some new features, for instance the "Search" function, a better listing of all STERFs ongoing and finished projects and the Library, where we are going to make finding what you are looking for even easier. The new lists; 'Turfgrass seed for the Nordic countries 2015' have been published. These important booklets are about evaluation of turfgrass varieties. There is a Norwgian, a Danish and an English version available with the results from SCANTURF and SCANGREEN variety testing, updated 1 April 2015. Information on species can be found in the ‘The Grass Guide 2012'.

Read the new article about the successful full-scale experiments on three golf courses over three winters (2011-2014) in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The project concluded that plastic covers prevented water intrusion and protected the greens from damages in winters with a high risk of ice encasement.
