New website and Newsletter!

We have now launched the new and improved STERF website www.sterf.org And as you can see, the Newsletter has a new layout too. Now it's possible to surf the site from computers, tablets and smartphones. Take a few moments and surf around some new features, for instance the "Search" function, a better listing of all STERFs ongoing and finished projects and the Library, where we are going to make finding what you are looking for even easier. We hope you will enjoy the change!

The new lists; 'Turfgrass seed for the Nordic countries 2015' have been published. These important booklets are about evaluation of turfgrass varieties. There is a Norwgian, a Danish and an English version available with the results from SCANTURF and SCANGREEN variety testing, updated 1 April 2015. Information on species can be found in the ‘The Grass Guide 2012'.

Read the new article about the successful full-scale experiments on three golf courses over three winters (2011-2014) in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The project concluded that plastic covers prevented water intrusion and protected the greens from damages in winters with a high risk of ice encasement.
