Successful IPM Meeting
A contact meeting was held between STERF and national autorities on IPM and sustainable pesticide use, Copenhagen 27 May 2015. Presentations from the seminar as well as articles in Swedish and Norwegian about the meeting can be found in the IPM section. An English version of the article will be available in August!

Turfgrass varieties 2015
The new lists; 'Turfgrass seed for the Nordic countries 2015' have been published. These important booklets are about evaluation of turfgrass varieties. There is a Norwgian, a Danish and an English version available with the results from SCANTURF and SCANGREEN variety testing, updated 1 April 2015. The final report from the SCANGREEN project (2011-2013) will be available in August.

Two events during the same week - attend both!
Seminar - Low input turf grass management
STERF invites greenkeepers, turf grass agronomists, consultants, researchers and all others to probably the most interesting turf grass seminar this year. It will be held in Copenhagen 5-6th of October. Researchers from US, UK, Norway and Denmark will present the latest from fine fescue research, and experienced greenkeepers from Ireland, France, Sweden, Scotland and Denmark will reveal their thoughts and experiences with fescue. We will also visit the PGA National golf courses in Malmö, Sweden and the more than one hundred year old Copenhagen Golf Club. Sustainability and Grass - ETS Fieldday
The ETS Fieldday is being held in Copenhagen, 7-8th of October. Day one is a seminar day at the University of Copenhagen, with presentations and a panel discussion on sustainability and turfgrass. During day two excursions are planned for Frederiksborg castle garden (discussion of maintenance descriptions of turf types) and to Furesø golf course – the first course that received the Danish Golf Unions Environmental price in 2013. You will find the preliminary program on the site.
