Turfgrass Field Day
Turfgrass enthusiast - you are welcome to NiBIO in Landvik, Norway, on June 21st to get the latest news on ongoing projects and to meet your network in the business. Article - Better irrigation
Key findings from a survey of golf course irrigation management practices in four Nordic countries. The aim was to obtain a much clearer and comprehensive understanding of the state of the irrigation system management being adopted by the golf course sector, identifying opportunities for improvement and future research needs. New project - Practical reestablishment
A field study about "Practical reestablishment of golf greens following winter damages" has just been started in Sweden.
The project will make use of earlier done demonstration trials and explore the differences between slit seeding and drop seeding.

Winter stress management - seminar
Make a note in your calender of the upcoming seminar "Winter stress management of turf grass" that will be held at Oslo airport, Gardermoen Nov 09-10th. To meet the challenges related to overwintering we have invested in a four-year, project about how autumn fertilization affect winter performance of cold season green grass. It is time to sum up our findings and present recommendations for the turf grass people.
