Dollar spot project - Final report, videos and articles
Ever since dollar spot was first documented in Norway and Sweden, a couple of years ago, the disease has been in the focus of research through the projects funded by STERF and other actors. The final report from the project "Risk assessment, management and control of dollar spot caused by Clarireedia species on Scandinavian golf courses (2017-2020)", with results from field experiments on Scandinavian golf courses and laboratory studies at NIBIO Landvik, has now been published.

IPM-project with broad scope to reduce pesticide use
"Integrated management of important turfgrass diseases and insect pests on European golf courses" is a project that started in 2020 and is a concerted effort by researchers, greenkeepers and suppliers representing alternative products and technology in the Nordic countries, Germany, Netherlands and UK. The project investigates cultural practices and new technologies to manage important diseases namely microdochium patch and dollar spot with no or strongly reduced pesticide inputs. The control of insect pests like chafer grubs and leatherjackets will also be investigated in the project. This project is cofounded by The R&A and many other golf and research organizations.
