2019-06-19 09:00 - 15:00

NIBIO Landvik, Grimstad, Norway

Sustainable nutrition and new diseases

Every second year in June, NIBIO Turfgrass Research Group invites turfgrass professionals to an International Turfgrass Field Day at Landvik Research Center. The purpose of these events is to inform about and discuss new findings in our research projects during the last couple of years and to highlight international projects with particular relevance for Nordic conditions.  This year’s event focuses firstly on turfgrass nutritional requirement for other elements than nitrogen.  This will be also be the topic for our invited speaker Dr. Doug Soldat from University of Wisconsin. Secondly, we will focus on new turfgrass pests and diseases in Scandinavia with a special emphasis on dollar spot.  Participants can also look forward to visiting our field experiments and to a social barbeque in the garden at NIBIO Landvik on on Tuesday 18 June (the evening before the field day).
The Invitation, program and registrationform etc can be found here

On the day after the Turfgrass Field Day, Thursday 20 June, NIBIO Landvik is hosting ‘Norsk blomsterengdag’ (‘Norwegian Flowering Meadow Day’).  While this seminar will be held in Norwegian language, participants at the Turfgrass Field Day are most welcome to stay for another day.  As part of the ‘Blomsterngdag’, on 19 June at 18.00 (shortly after the Turfgrass Field Day) you are also welcome to board the sailing vessel ‘Solrik’ for a boat trip along the Grimstad coast, including a visit to an island with some beautiful old natural meadows. The entire program and registration for the ‘Blomsterengdag’ can be found at https://fagus.no/blomsterengdag/.
